All the world loves a lover

The phrase, All the world loves a lover, is derived from an essay on love by American philosopher Ralph Waldo Emerson in the 1840's. Love Makes The World Go Round' is the title of a 1958 song popularized by Perry Como. All You Need Is Love, a 1967 smash hit single sung by the Beatles. Shakespeare, in the sixteenth century, wrote Love is blind  a line from The Merchant of Venice whilst Love is patient, love is kind... comes from the Bible, 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 - all timeless love quotes that have become so indelibly etched into our consciousness that they become ours - our words, our thoughts. Love emanates from a deep well of happiness within that everyone, at some stage in their life, has or will experience. Whilst love is unique to each person, uniquely felt and uniquely expressed, the understanding of love is universal and binds us.
